Approximate hours of homework given

Homework will be given to Years K to 5 each week. The content of the homework will vary depending on the age and stage of the child, and individual teachers will be responsible for giving appropriate homework. The Secondary School timetable is split into 30 fifty minute lessons a week, and different subjects have different lesson allocations. Homework will be set on average once every 4 teaching lessons, except for Christian Perspectives homework which should set on average once every 2 lessons.

All preschool and kindergarten applicants will have an interview with the preschool teacher. From Year 1 and onward have online admission tests. Those with ELL needs will also have additional English assessment tests.

HOPE International School was established in 2002 to support world mission by providing quality, Christ-centered education for children of international Christian workers in Cambodia.

Teaching approach of the school

Teachers aim to reflect the love of God in their relationships with the students, and try to incorporate a biblical worldview into their teaching where appropriate. Students are encouraged to explore their faith and develop their personal worldview from a biblical perspective.
