they say they have sports? more like, they let you play sports if you pay up. and i remember reading the letter they gave to us informing us about the extra curriculum classes and it said the taekwondo uniform has to be at least $20 up. also, don't be fooled by their extravagant office with marble floorings, their chandelier and their minimalistic workspace because that's just the outside. if you have gotten inside our classes, you'd see old and sometimes non functioning air conditioners, no projectors, wooden tables, plastic chairs, broken lights (they were never fixed no matter how many times we told them), glass boards instead of a whiteboard (they're really hard to see), cramped spaces and very small spaces under the desks for storing books. our cafeteria, on the other hand, is very cramped. sometimes there aren't enough spaces for students to eat. their food doesn't look very nutritious (it's mostly a: rice with fried pork and eggs and b: noodles and meat. they might put up laminated posters of their menu but whatever they have there is just a decoy. i'm not too sure about snacks being overpriced since i've never bought any. their bathrooms are so so scarce. they have only 2 bathroom stalls in each floor except the cafeteria which has 4 stalls; 2 girls and 2 boys. the bathroom doors feel like very cheap plastic, the bathroom space is very tiny-about a meter wide. moving on to their library, the books they have are all classics, kid books and textbooks. nothing says plain quite like their variety of books. the computers for students to use are all very old and despite having about 5 computers, only one or two works. the receptionists don't know anything except holidays and basic things. they have no idea what books the school use or why a first grader has essay writing as their test. another very infuriating thing the receptionists cannot do is fix names. they misspell our names and when we call them to tell them to fix it, they don't. i've told them many times and they've never fixed it so i thought why bother and now the teachers call me the wrong name and i have to correct them every time. enough about that, they also have a video room which is probably one of the few rooms with a projector in it. it has one air conditioner, old chairs with those foldable tables, 2 speakers (i think) and a lot of audio issues. it's very hot and the air con is only available to the 2nd or 3rd row students. anywhere past that and it's dry as f**k. next is the phone call problem, that is, you may call your guardians or parents but the receptionists are the one who talk to them. you have no privacy whatsoever and there are so many ridiculous rules such as:
-no hoodies, sweaters, or anything like so
-black shoes ONLY (like why? just why?)
-no ordering food from outside (understandable)
-no phones in the cafe (brown) across the school (do they think they own the cafe now?)
-money limit is $15 (or $10-i forgot)
these are just some of their ridiculous rules. they also make us pay about $600 (for secondary students) or $200 (for primary students) just to get a box of school supplies including (this is for secondary students):
-textbooks, workbooks
-50 notebooks (we don't need that much, you know?)
-2 pencils (no lead for us though)
-a box of pens (10 pens but all the ink lasts for a week or less and it starts becoming less smooth and is just really bad quality)
-4 highlighters (one of them lasts 2 years)
-4 erasers
-4 red pens
-4 black pens
-4 green pens (for what?)
-a backpack (they think we use these bags for what, 8 months and throw them away?)
-a pencil case (their shape is bad, they put a probably fake Samsonite logo on it, and their zippers sometimes don't function)
-4 folders (again for what?)
-2 helix oxford set of mathematical instruments with a parabola
-school uniform (button up white shirt and gray skirt or trousers as well as a blue t shirt for fridays only).
honestly, everything is just so bad. we're supposed to wear our ID cards (understandable) but last year they (probably) scammed us of $30 for a never existing World Scholar's Cup. i've asked thrice and they have never gave me a refund. they also require the original birth certificate for registration but why though? can't you use a copied birth certificate? isn't it for storing data? why the original? what if we need to use it elsewhere? so many things don't add up. i have a younger sibling and her class's reading teacher was very rude. she wouldn't repeat instructions again and well, she's the definition of a 'karen'. the above is when we were still in physical classrooms. but now we're studying online. the problems i have with online studying includes:
-teachers taking up the already short break (10 minutes)
-teachers not wearing their microphones properly which results in their voice sounding unclear (then they blame us for not hearing them well. i've had a teacher call my name quietly-i mean very quietly because a while ago she was calling someone else loudly- and then yell my name once more and act annoyed at me for not hearing her)
-teachers getting angry at us for turning off our camera for only a second (the same teacher i mentioned above did so to me and i was just going to grab my book)
-teachers and their anger issues (they get angry so easily for the wrong reasons).

i think that's all i have to say about this school. if you're thinking about going here to study, for the love of god, please don't. there are so many better alternatives (paragon for example) that are in the same price range and are better with more extra curriculum activities and a much better school environment. this school also has quite the numbers of toxic students although i haven't encountered any yet.

sincerely, a student here.
