Qualities and characteristics best defining the school |
Misk Schools is a pioneering, private K–12 day school for boys and girls in Riyadh that aims to prepare the next generation of leaders. It exists to support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by instilling in students the knowledge, values and skills they need to grow into leaders of themselves, of others and in their field of study.
Our core academic curriculum is delivered in partnership with Cambridge International Education, the world’s largest provider of international education for three- to 19-year olds, and part of the University of Cambridge, UK. We are the Kingdom's only accredited High Performance Learning school. |
Teaching approach of the school |
We deliver a personalised, international curriculum in English and all students are expected to leave us fluent in both English and Arabic. We teach using the High Performance Learning philosophy, underlining our belief that every student can be successful academically and in life. We place a strong focus on leadership and critical thinking, aiming to nurture considerate, inventive young people who have the mind-set and determination to make a meaningful contribution to their country and the world. Our students prepare for IGCSEs in Grades 9 and 10 and then follow an A-level or BTEC pathway in Grades 11 and 12. We can offer the Advanced Placement (AP) for students who are committed to applying to US universities from an early age. However, academic qualifications are only part of their final Misk Schools Diploma, which is validated by Cambridge University Press & Assessment. The Diploma is a personal portfolio of accomplishments, reflecting academic, leadership and professional achievements, alongside customised experiential and skills-based micro-credentials. It is organised into four key areas: Academic, Leadership, Internship and National Identity. All students sit the national Tahsili and Qudrat exams in Grade 11 and 12 respectively. We are ambitious for our students, expecting them to join the world’s most esteemed universities and university courses. Approved Examination Centre
