Use of technology in the classroom

ISD Primary is committed to the integration of technology as a support and facilitation for better learning. Classrooms have interactive smart boards at adjustable heights for class and group teaching. Tablet-based technology is used for individual and paired work. Discrete IT skills are taught so that the students develop progression in their learning. The inquiry-based approach from PYP is actively enhanced by the use of technology and we encourage the students to see the natural and intrinsic value of learner technologies in everyday life.

The secondary school has a one-to-one laptop policy. Each student uses the laptop as a tool for learning inside and outside the classroom. Software and digital tools such as Google Classroom and Managebac are used to ensure that each and every student benefits from all learning which is taking place.
