As we are an international school we are open to learning about and sharing all religions/beliefs

We make it very clear on our school website that we are an inclusive school and all forms of religions, race and beliefs are welcome. We do not exclude.

We follow the IPC curriculum, with this we provide no mandatory homework. We may often ask students to engage with something at home with their parents or in their local community to discuss in class.

We are a primary school, they have the possibility to move on to a secondary IPC school in the area. We work closely with them.

Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

We are the first International School in Leiden.
Our schools mission is 'We aim to provide a safe learning environment for every student to become self -aware and develop a sense of responsibility towards themselves, respect for each other and their environment in order to become active global citizens.'

Teaching approach of the school

The IPC provides teachers with thematic units of learning, which outline activities and tasks. All 146 units have been designed to appeal to children’s interests and help them to learn more about the world around them.
Assessment is done by teachers and children to help engage them with learning, and understand their level of skills and knowledge
