Academics

External examinations or assessments available

The tracking of all our students from Red Ladybugs (Prepa) to Eagles ( 11th grade) three times per year using an international test in English, math and science ( MAP). From this we can see progress and make plans for improvement for each child.
We are introducing a new curriculum which matches the Costa Rican curriculum perfectly. We are introducing Cambridge IGCSE in secondary. Not only is this more rigorous and gets our students ready for both MEP and IB in a very thorough way, but it also gives our students additional international qualifications in the form of IGCSE taken in sharks (grade 9) which are highly regarded worldwide.
We check our students' progress in English in addition using the British Council's European Framework Test, at least three times per year.
We offer the international baccalaureate exam which is a two year course. Currently the Eagles( grade 11) complete this prestigious course after a selection process, although in future our 12-13 year old students will be completing this course as Golden Eagles( grade 12) when we add another IB year for them.
