Santiago College is a bilingual, independent, co-educational day school, founded as a non-sectarian institution in 1880 with support from the US Methodist Church.

Teaching approach of the school

In the PYP all subjects are taught in English, except for Spanish, Religion, Physical Education and Art.

In the MYP (6th to 8th Grade), all subjects are taught in English, except for Religion, Physical Education, Spanish, Technology and Art.

From 9th to 12th Grade, in the MYP and the Diploma Program, all subjects are taught in Spanish. However, a high level of English is expected of all students who graduate in SC.
