Cameron Fox
School Director
At KIS we enjoy learning. We think each school day is an opportunity for fun and challenge as students engage with curricular content and extracurricular activities. We recognize our students are whole individuals with their own interests, ideas and hopes, and so our mission is to encourage each student to be more who they are, helping to identify and develop their strengths.
We believe a supportive environment is essential to learning as students grow and navigate campus relationships, teaching one another and learning together.
When we consider success, we count its many facets. As educators, we expect our students to excel as they can academically, and we encourage continued learning. Our variety of activities ensures students pursue additional talents too. But we also see the success of students practicing balance in their academic and personal lives, and navigating moral and ethical discussions now, all to prepare for their role beyond KIS.
We have organised the information available for this school into 10 sections and 33 questions. Click or tap on the name of each section to read more.

|
Teaching approach of the school
|
The mission of KIS is to inspire students with a passion for learning and to cultivate the competence, self-assurance, initiative, and creativity necessary for success in the global community.
|
Campus
n 2006 KIS built its Pangyo campus, uniquely stepped on a hill and bordered by forest. Our learning spaces purposefully accommodate elementary, middle and high school needs. And as we develop new ways to teach and learn, we modify our campus to best suit the direction of our curriculum and programs.
Learn
KIS structures community through elementary buddy classes, middle school house teams, and high school mentors. Each division also intentionally provides time for students to develop strong, supportive school relationships: morning meetings, recess and advisory periods, and grade-level autonomous blocks. We believe respectful relationships are foundational to the school day. KIS offers a rich selection of courses and co-curricular activities but the day is built first on our choice to empathize, include and encourage one another.
Experience
KIS believes students learn, grow, and succeed through co-curricular activities. We provide multiple opportunities for each student at KIS to explore their interests or discover a new passion. Our programs are designed to support the whole person and promote balance in life.
KIS is proud to partner with teachers, coaches, community members, and organizations who help our students develop practical and relational skills that transfer beyond the stage, court, or service activity. And we are proud of our students. They try something new, value practice. They persevere, succeed. They create community.
