Shanghai Singapore International School has been delivering excellence in education for the past 27 years. It was established in 1996 to provide quality international education to children of expatriate families in Shanghai. A balanced and unique curriculum is offered to students from 2-18 years of age. Primary School | Ages 6-11
In the Primary School, we place great importance on ensuring the well-being of our students with a balance of nurturing academic excellence and holistic development.
Our Primary School offers a truly international curriculum that draws from the best curricula in the world including the Singapore Math and Science, and Cambridge Primary English. We ensure that our students are given the necessary grounding in academics, and are equipped with the 21st century skills.
Senior School | Ages 12-18
SSIS Senior School is a place where students develop their independence and explore their passions as they prepare to enter top universities around the world. The Senior School curriculum framework comprises of 3 world-renowned international programmes.
For G7-8, SSIS offers the Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme. It is a comprehensive curriculum that adopts a competence-based approach and emphasises powerful knowledge, developing skills, and applications to real world context.
In G9-10, students cover a diverse curriculum including a breadth of subjects which comprise our International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) programme.
In G11-12, students are offered the IB Diploma Programme. The IBDP is the world’s most rigorous international programme, respected by leading universities across the globe.
