In ACS (Independent), an essential part of the academic curriculum is the emphasis that is placed on self-directed and independent learning. From Year 3, Special Programmes have been catered to students of different abilities and have provided a platform for our students to develop their interest and strengths in a subject or topic. These include the various Mentorship Programmes and Enrichment Activities.

During physical education, students acquire a variety of skills and knowledge that involve them in healthy physical activities. Students will learn the very basic skills and rules necessary to participate in the games taught at recreation level.

Founded in 1886, ACS (Independent) is a Methodist institution with a strong foundation in spiritual values, a tradition of excellence and a global perspective. ACS is an independent school under the Ministry of Education and an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School.The school offers two academic tracks:

– the four-year Express programme leading to the GCE “O” Levels Examination, and
– the six-year Integrated Programme (IP) leading to the IB Diploma programme.
