When we moved to Tenerife, we decided to live in El Sauzal specifically for this school. I selected this school for my son for many reasons, but most of all for its very good pupil teacher ratio. It has less than half the number of students per teacher than what you will find in Spanish and 'international' schools.
This is not an 'international school' (which is often marketing nonsense), St. Andrew's is a proper English primary school, regulated by England, using the English curriculum, English methodologies, and native speaker teachers. It's fully accredited with both the English & Spanish authorities.
Great staff, modern methodologies, and a very pupil centric philosophy, completely unlike the Spanish system which put pupils last, with staff and parents being the priorities.
I strongly recommend St. Andrew's even for those where language is not a priority. The children learn more, learn better, and always seem to be happy in the morning on the way to school.
Our child is happier and began reading and doing maths long before his peers in the Spanish system.
