The fabulous method and promotion of children's independence.

A great school! My children have been attending since they were three years old and they are as happy as the first day.
The immersion in English from the beginning is extraordinary, in a very short time they are able to defend themselves in this language. Most of the teachers are foreigners and English is their mother tongue. The fact that the teachers, and more and more the students, come from so many different countries gives a much more global vision to teaching and living together.
Like any school, it has some points where it could be improved, but the advantages far outweigh the small disadvantages that are being solved course by course (it is a relatively new school, although backed by an international group with ample experience in education).
I recommend it to all parents who want a global and quality education for their children.

Method (academics and interaction/activities) is something I have never seen in any other schools.
The variety and complementarity of subjects, topics and activities is excellent.
To say something is not great: location/transport (longer time to go/come from school and lack of flexibility), and also about sports the variety and mix is not so balanced being football overrepresented.

British education is awesome, they encourage independence and are very practical

Our son has been studying for 6 years and I can say that enrolling him at O Castro British School was the best decision we made. The academic level of the subjects, in my opinion, is well above what is required by the Spanish curriculum. The school facilities are comfortable, the teachers are very good and although some were unhappy with the canteen, we can't complain as our child has always eaten well there. As they change from one stage to another, the number of languages learnt increases. English is the main language and together with Spanish and Galician they have the most teaching hours. When they have them established, they start with French. Like any school, there are aspects that can be improved, but on the whole we are very happy.
