Qualities and characteristics best defining the school |
SIS Swiss International School Rotkreuz-Zug has been offering bilingual education, based on an established concept founded in 1999, within the Canton of Zug since August 2012. SIS is a growing population of eager, curious learners with an ever-developing reputation within the local education landscape. |
Teaching approach of the school |
The SIS programme is based on the performance-oriented curriculum of all German-speaking cantons as well as on international curricula. Each of the school's primary school classes has two teachers: one is a native speaker of German, the other a native speaker of English. The development of language skills in German and English is of paramount importance at this level, which is why SIS has developed its own bilingual curricula. Furthermore, subjects such as mathematics or humanities are taught in both languages, ensuring that our students acquire a broad vocabulary. Additionally, French is taught as a foreign language from grade 5. |
