Parent
We were at Tandem for less than a year before we decided we had to move to a different school.
The teachers were OK, not horrible, but not great. They care, but I think they were asked to step into roles they were not adequately trained for, and I get the sense that the school administration could not help them when they asked for help, but instead further pressured them.
The administration was substantially below sub-par. Their idea of working with parents seemed to consist primarily of threats to kick the children out. In a class of roughly 20 children, over a third of the parents had expressed serious concerns, with most of them also having received multiple threats of their children being kicked out of the school. When the school administration was approached they refused to accept the idea that there might be an issue, and that the school was anything but perfect. Even the outside experts that were recommended by the school (and we paid for separately) confirmed that the issue was not with the children but with how the school was addressing their responsibilities, and advised us to move our child to a separate school. The administration was remarkably hostile and specifically and directly refused to take our input.
The overall experience was remarkably distressing both for us as parents as well as for our child.
