I believe this school might be considered a good private school only because its first English language. But still has a long way to go from being considered an international School. Starting from the school app that it is in Danish only, the parent association is mostly focused on the Danish department. No events to socialize and facilitate the new families.
Total absence from the principals and teachers when there were some unpleasant situation at the class. None of them was willing to take action / decision, very typical local approach to the problems. Far away to be consider a real international school.

Please get in touch with the office if you would like help to switch your app into the English version. We would also warmly welcome your involvement in our International Parents Group, featuring parent representatives from each class. This school year they are planning to focus on relaunching our social calendar for parents and students after the years of Covid disruption. I am concerned to hear that there have been some challenges in your child's class, and I would like to discuss this further, do please get in contact with me about it using the office phone: 0045 35 25 26

Great school, with caring and committed teachers. It is true that the Danish context sometimes gets in the way, but I would hate to be in an isolated school. Our son is recently graduating after being in Secondary, and it has been a pleasure. Management and coordination that cared and listened, and teachers that motivated our son til the very end. We couldn't be happier, we will really miss the school!

Roby's review describes the experience of our family with Skt Josefs International as well.
The schools offical response shows how out-of-touch the administration is. "Please get in touch with the office if you would like to switch your app into the English version"... It is not the app's language that is Roby's complaint but rather that the messages from the staff themselves are often written in Danish only.
Furthermore, the school replies that they "warmly welcomes your involvement" in the Parent Association, but the parent association's general meeting is held in Danish only.
It is our experience that Skt Josefs is not a proper international school, but a Danish school with a small forgotten international department.

Skt. Josef's International School is the best of both worlds - an international school, following the Cambridge curriculum, but part of a bigger Danish school with focus on Danish culture and values. We have 2 kids at the school, both who are thriving, happy and stimulated.

We had two kids at Skt. Josef's for three years. It is a wonderful school with dedicated teachers. Our children grew academically and socially. We will really miss the school.
