I attended FIS from 2009 until graduation in 2018.
It was the best experience ever and I am forever grateful that my parents decided to enroll me here when they had other options such as the ISF or a German local school. The most important thing for me was that I was able to make lifelong friends who I bonded with through the tough IB curriculum and the great atmosphere at FIS.
I feel that I should mention that the school atmosphere, students, and teachers were especially welcoming, supportive, and open-minded. The teachers in general were experts in their subjects and I felt that I got the full support I needed to pass the IB. The hiccups that I noticed were regarding TOK and CAS, for which your experience really varies on who you get as your supervisor.
Even after I graduated and entered uni, I felt that I was well prepared with the knowledge I had from IB and FIS. In fact, the first year of Uni was very easy as I could mostly live off of my IB knowledge. (I went to a B.Sc. program in one of the top 5 Unis in the Netherlands).
The facilities were also always new, in fact, I feel that during my time there, they seemed to have built something new every two years and I have a suspicion that's where most of the high tuition fee went to.
Upon entering university, I realized that this atmosphere and the classmates that I had at FIS must have really been the best of the best, as I was sadly disappointed by some of the experiences I had with people and teachers at my university. I mentioned my disappointment at a FIS alumni event and the organizers said that it is a common thing that they hear. I am now in my master's but I still cherish the experience I had and I still find myself going back to the notebooks from my IB years to check something.

Great school with very supportive school staff, effectively achieving both education goals as well as nurturing students’ Social growth, life skills, interpersonal skills. Respective to parents, cultures. Staff is careful not to create no healthy competition with academic scores closely monitored only between parents, teachers and respective students, not in context of who is best but if an individual achieves their own best.
