My daughter is in her tenth year at the school and she started in Grade 1 aged 6 years old. We love the International Baccalaureate curriculum and the warm community of the school. We appreciate the school not only for the academic excellence but also for the values our child has learned and developed there - from critical thinking, caring for others and welcoming new friends from around the world. An International Baccalaureate education is the very best preparation we could give our child for entering a rapidly changing and complex world. ISP really delivers that for our family and for us the school is far and away the very best option in Paris for us.

We have been at ISP for many years, starting when my children were in primary, and it has been a wonderful school for us. I love the International Baccalaureate curriculum which ISP specializes in - very rigorous and based on inquiry and research so students learn to be independent at an early age. Classes are small and there is a high level of interaction between students and teachers. My oldest needed a lot of help to get through high school and each of his teachers really went above and beyond to help him achieve the IB Diploma. The community is warm and very international, and we have made many close friends there. I love the urban location in the 16th - my kids walk to school with their friends who live nearby. No school is perfect, but ISP has been a great choice for my family. I like that is is internationally accredited and non-profit.

The marketing team that gives the tour is top-notch. But once you actually enroll and are essentially stuck there, you realize that it was all just a bunch of salesmanship. I honestly think the only way this school is able to survice is because most kids' tuition are paid for by large companies as part of an ex-pat package, as opposed to individual parents. When you are paying for something, as opposed to getting something for free, you tend to be a lot more discerning and have higher expectations. The middle school math program was a complete and utter failure last year and the kids barely learned anything. Most kids do not seem particularly motivated to learn and there's a lot of goofing around and disrespect for teachers. Many of the kids are also over-entitled and nasty and the school does nothing about it.
